Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Rune Spaces website at runespace.blog and the interior design services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Rune Spaces is a design practice registered and operating in Malaysia. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to Rune Spaces. References to "you" or "client" refer to the individual or entity engaging our services.

1. Services

We offer three core services — Compass Consultation, Design Blueprint & Rendering, and Implementation Navigation — as described on our Solutions page. The scope, deliverables, timeline, and fee for each engagement are confirmed in writing before any work begins. These Terms apply to all services unless a specific written agreement states otherwise.

2. Quotations and Fees

Fees listed on our website (MYR 450, MYR 3,500, and MYR 1,900 respectively) are our standard rates for typical residential and small commercial engagements. For projects outside standard scope — larger properties, complex briefs, or additional revision rounds — a written quotation will be provided before engagement.

All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and inclusive of applicable service charges unless otherwise stated. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

3. Payment

Deposit

A deposit of 50% of the agreed fee is required to confirm and schedule an engagement. Work will not commence until the deposit is received.

Remaining balance

The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final deliverable (for Blueprint and Consultation services) or at the conclusion of the implementation period (for Implementation Navigation). We reserve the right to withhold final delivery until payment is received.

Late payment

Invoices not settled within 14 days of the due date may incur a late payment charge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding amount.

4. Scope Changes

Any changes to the agreed project scope after commencement will be discussed with you and documented in a written scope amendment. Additional fees, if applicable, will be agreed before the changed work proceeds. We do not apply retrospective charges for scope changes without prior written agreement.

5. Revision Rounds

The Design Blueprint & Rendering service includes two revision rounds as part of the standard fee. Additional revision rounds beyond this may be engaged at an additional cost, to be agreed in writing. Revisions are defined as adjustments within the agreed scope and brief — material changes to direction constitute a scope change under Clause 4.

6. Client Responsibilities

To allow us to deliver services effectively, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your property, requirements, and constraints
• Grant access to the property as reasonably required for site visits
• Review and respond to deliverables and queries within a reasonable timeframe (we suggest 5 business days)
• Ensure relevant third parties (e.g. property owners, co-owners) have authorised the engagement

Delays caused by the client's failure to provide timely access, information, or feedback may affect project timelines. We will communicate any such impact in writing.

7. Intellectual Property

All design documents, floor plans, renders, specifications, and materials produced by us remain our intellectual property until full payment has been received. Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the deliverables transfers to you for the purpose of the specific project for which they were created.

We retain the right to use anonymised project images and descriptions in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Confidentiality

We treat all project information, property details, and personal communications as confidential. We will not share identifiable project information with third parties except where necessary to deliver the service (e.g. with recommended contractors) or as required by law. 9. Third-Party Contractors and Suppliers

Where we recommend or engage third-party contractors or suppliers on your behalf, we do so in good faith based on our assessment of their suitability. We do not receive referral fees or commissions from any contractor or supplier. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party contractors unless we have directly caused a specific engagement through our own negligence.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you in connection with the services provided is limited to the total fees paid for the relevant engagement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, or damage to property caused by third-party contractors.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

11. Cancellation

Cancellation by client

If you cancel an engagement before work has commenced, the deposit will be refunded in full less any reasonable administrative costs already incurred. If work has commenced, fees will be charged pro-rata for work completed, and the deposit will be applied toward this. Any amount owed beyond the deposit will be invoiced separately.

Cancellation by Rune Spaces

We reserve the right to withdraw from an engagement if circumstances make continued work impractical or unprofessional to proceed with. In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice and refund fees for any work not yet completed.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from the use of our services or website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your engagement applies to that engagement. Material updates will be communicated on our website. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
